Why Swimming?

  • Swimming improves mental health reducing stress, depression and anxiety.
  • Swimming delays the physical indicators of aging up to twenty years. If there is a fountain of youth in the world, it is swimming.
  • Swimming is the best cardio-vascular workout and cardio-vascular exercise is linked to improved academic performance.
  • Swimming improves brain health as you age by decreasing brain atrophy and shrinkage resulting in improved thinking and memory abilities.
  • Swimming is low-impact and does not cause head injuries.
  • Swimming improves flexibility and works every muscle in the body.
  • Swimming reduces chronic pain, particularly from arthritis.
  • Swimming can help reduce exercise-induced asthma symptoms. It also relieves the condition overall by increasing lung volume and teaching proper breathing techniques.
  • Swimming is the only sport that can save your life.
  • Swimming builds confidence, self-reliance and helps kids learn to set goals and work to achieve them.
  • Swimming can teach strategies to overcome fear and swimmers tend to be academic achievers.
  • Pool workouts can reduce the risk of chronic illnesses such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes and stroke.
  • Swimming is one of the few sports you can do throughout your lifetime.
  • Swimming is the excellent exercise as it works all the body’s muscles and burns the most calories.
  • Swimming aids in helping develop better athletes and conditioning for various other sports.
  • Swimming offers a lifetime of health and fitness.
